In the February issue of MMR – Journal for Law of Digitalization, Data Economy and IT, Max Baumgart, Claude Humbel and Markus Schreiber introduce the Zug Institute for Blockchain Research (ZIBR) at the University of Lucerne.
The editorial highlights the institute as a new interdisciplinary research initiative emerging from Switzerland’s “Crypto Valley”. ZIBR brings together perspectives from law and the humanities to examine the societal, regulatory and economic implications of blockchain technology and digitalization.
By fostering dialogue between academia and practice, ZIBR aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the legal and societal challenges associated with blockchain and related technologies.
