Regulatory Strategies for Energy and Finance: Sustainability in a Digitalised World

Prof. Dr. Max Baumgart contributed two co-authored chapters on the regulation of emerging technologies to the edited volume Regulatory Strategies for Energy and Finance: Sustainability in a Digitalised World (Hart Publishing/Bloomsbury), edited by Dr. Shanya Ruhela, Dr. Olga Hrynkiv and Prof. Dr. Saskia Lavrijssen.

The first chapter is titled “RegulatoryStrategies to Introduce Smart Technologies in Positive Energy Districts”. Thesecond chapter is called “Fuelling Innovation: Regulatory Sandboxes for theHydrogen Sector in the Netherlands”.

The two chapters analyse how regulatory frameworks can respond to technologicalinnovation and the growing role of digital and clean technologiesin the energy sector. They explore key legal andpolicy challenges related to the regulation of emerging technologies anddiscuss how regulators can balance innovation, market stability andsustainability objectives.
