ZIBR Welcomes Ann Brody!

We are pleased to welcome her to ZIBR as a Research Fellow, researching digital identity, sovereignty, and the governance of Switzerland's E-ID.

Ann's research grew out of her time in the early Ethereum ecosystem, where she was both a researcher and an active participant in building DAOs — an inside perspective that became the foundation for her doctoral dissertation, an ethnography of non-profit DAO culture.

At ZIBR, she extends this work into questions of infrastructure, identity, and sovereignty, focusing empirically on Switzerland's digital identity infrastructure and the governance of the Swiss E-ID. She is also interested in how these developments connect to "network state" projects and intentional communities that treat digital identity as foundational to new forms of collective organization.
