Pascal Neupert, Managing Director of ZIBR, introduced the institute and its work. Prof. Dr. Max Baumgart then spoke on the role of legal and social science research in driving blockchain innovation — arguing that regulatory frameworks must enable new business models, and that the societal implications of emerging technologies, including increasingly autonomous AI systems, require dedicated scholarly inquiry.
