In this talk, Dr. Victoria Lemieux, who leads the Clio-X.org initiative, an open-source project supporting cultural heritage institutions to enable AI for research without comprising privacy, security and data sovereignty, and Dr. Luis de la Torre Cubillo, who leads DecentralLabs, a project at the intersection of DeSci, blockchain technology, and crypto-economics enabling shared use of scientific laboratories, will share experiences and perspectives from their journeys in DeSci. The talk addresses not only the conceptual and academic challenge of designing decentralized science, but also the practical industry experience of negotiating with funders, industry partners, and stakeholder organisations to implement decentralized science solutions. Join us for the second in our ZIBR public talk series when we move from ReFi to DeSci in an insightful discussion at the crossroads of scientific research, technology, and data/intellectual property protection — and continue the conversation during the networking session.
